in the jackal cage

The performance, for the festival: KULT, sought to explore the intersection of vulnerability and artistic expression. By using fabric both as a medium of restraint and a symbolic element, I aimed to convey the nuanced relationship between cultural preservation and personal struggles. I recited texts specifically written for this ocasion which was a perfomance in a Jackals cage in a zoo. The perfomance was base on a life sound set created from field recordings. The intent was to create an authentic and raw experience for the audience, capturing the essence of endangered live cultures without embellishments. This project represents a deliberate exploration of the intersection between physicality, storytelling, and cultural preservation.
